    Cookie Policy

    Effective date: 20 July 2026Last updated: 20 July 2026

Govrum uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies to make sign-in and booking work. Everything else (functional preferences, Google Analytics, future advertising) is off until you turn it on. You can change your choice any time.

    1.What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Govrum uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser localStorage and sessionStorage) when you visit our website. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.

    2.Categories we use

We group cookies and similar technologies into four categories:

    • Strictly necessary — required to make Govrum work (sign-in, security, remembering your consent choice, resuming a booking after sign-in). These cannot be turned off.
    • Functional — remember choices like recent searches, recently viewed cars, and which agency workspace you had open.
    • Analytics — Google Analytics, so we can understand which parts of Govrum are useful and improve them. No advertising profile is built.
    • Advertising — reserved for future advertising or remarketing pixels. Not in use today.

Optional categories (functional, analytics, advertising) are off by default and only activate after you accept them in the banner or preference centre.

3.Change your choice at any time

You can change your cookie preferences at any time. This opens the same preference centre you saw in the banner.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break sign-in and booking.

Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode v2. Until you accept the analytics category, no analytics cookies are set and no page-view or event data is sent.

    7.Advertising

    None in use today.

8.Third-party services that may set cookies indirectly

A small number of services we rely on may set their own cookies on your device when their content loads on a Govrum page. Where those services are optional, they are only loaded after you consent:

    • Google Analytics (analytics category) — _ga, _ga_<id>.
    • Google Fonts / Mapbox (strictly necessary for rendering) — do not set marketing cookies but may log request metadata under their own privacy notices.
    • Cloudflare — sits in front of the social-share link-preview service and may set standard security cookies for that request.
